In Melendugno, in the hinterland of the marina of Torre Specchia, in the heart of Salento and the land of oil, the " Masseria Borgo Segine " awaits you, the farmhouse of the Greco family which boasts the 5 Sunflowers classification.
Immersed in an uncontaminated territory, crowded by migratory passages towards the nearby Cesine wildlife oasis, in the wake of the indigenous tradition and the rural economy of Salento, the Masseria rises in total harmony with nature.
Borgo Segine extends into the lands of Acaya and Roca, where the more recent history of Salento is intertwined with its most remote secrets, crossing the charm of antiquity and the beauty of nature sublimating them in a contemporary architectural synthesis inspired by the historical importance of medieval village around the castle of Acaya , called “Segine”.
Made respecting the typical architectural dictates of agricultural buildings which pervade the entire territory and the idea of living in perfect harmony with the landscape in which it is immersed, it is to be considered eco-friendly. Thanks, in fact, to the use of materials such as stone, iron and wood and to the innovative choice but faithful to the past of a construction, which sees the symbols of tradition as protagonists such as barrel and star vaults, the double load-bearing masonry, supported by modern tools that allow maximum eco-sustainability: a powerful 20 Kw photovoltaic system, a 32 Kw solar thermal system for the production of sanitary water makes it entirely self-sufficient.
Living Borgo Segine
Borgo Segine is not "just rooms".
It is an immersed oasis of well-being and tranquility in the magic of luxuriant greenery characterized by many integrated environments: the orchard , with over 150 essences that, transformed, offer the jams served on the table; the vegetable garden , which with dott or according to the ancient cultivation techniques, it produces the delicacies offered in the rich breakfasts; the wood , characterized by thousands of essences from the Mediterranean scrub; the sensory garden, which takes place along the various and elegant hedges of holm oak and laurel, rosemary and lavender, myrtle and strawberry tree that release a myriad of scents and colors between the song of pheasants and peacocks, the call of cranes and swans , geese and ducks, in the company of all the "friends" of the farm.

The rooms are meticulously designed and furnished with fine furniture, all with large balconies overlooking the pool or small square. Wood, marble, and onyx adorn the spacious 6 sq m bathrooms.
Breakfast, served in a spacious room with a fireplace or under a large gazebo overlooking the pool and green space, draws heavily from the farm's vegetable garden and orchard to ensure authentic, locally sourced produce, enriched with high-quality artisanal products and seasoned with our Salento extra virgin olive oil.
At guests' disposal, in a large exclusive garden , there is a splendid swimming pool equipped with hydromassage systems, counter-current swimming, lighting with plays of light, waterfalls and a water heating and cooling system that allows it to be used in any period. of the year.
It is a quiet corner immersed in unspoiled nature under the bright sun of Salento, in total privacy, enriched by an area with barbecue and wood-burning oven, furnished with table, chairs and cushions, for moments of conviviality, company and pure relaxation.
For meditation Borgo Segine offers many reserved spaces with gazebos and vine pergolas; the small church , with its frescoes, the altar and the small vaulted nave, is available for moments of spirituality and interior meditation.
